About Us

Swimming Counties Manukau Incorporated is the Regional Swimming Authority in the Counties Manukau area of Auckland.

With close to 600 competitive swimmers, and 8 active clubs in the region - this is one of the most active and competitive areas of swimming in New Zealand.

A bit of history about Swimming Counties Manukau...

1978 - Known as the Counties Zone affiliated to N.Z.A.S.A (Auckland)

1978 - March Application made to N.Z.A.S.A to be recognised as the Counties Swimming Centre affiliated directly to N.Z.S.F

1978 - May Counties Swimming Centre 1st AGM held with delegates from eight clubs and a membership of 408.

1985 - Howick Pakuranga club affiliated formed

1988 - Manukau club formed

1990 - Name change to Counties Swimming Association

1993 - Otara Manukau club formed

1996 - Name change to Counties Manukau Swimming Association

2002 - Mangere club formed

2006 - Name change to Swimming Counties Manukau Association 

2014 – Fulton Amateur Swim Team club formed

2020 – 8 affiliated clubs with a membership of 850.
